Whats the most efficient way to break down cellulose in vegetables into sugar so you can start the malliard reaction quicker?

In the molecules lecture it was mentioned that the reason why fiber is so strong/ stable is because the beta glucose bonds linearly unlike the glucose in starches. Just wondering what the best way to cook vegetables that break down the cellulose, release the glucose, in the fastest way possible
